Buffalo Private Label logo

Buffalo Private Label Limited is one of the UKís largest sock and hosiery sourcing companies, supplying a wide range of big name high street retailers including Clarks, Next, Top Shop, New Look, John Lewis and many more.

Buffalo approached Studio 2 to help them get online with their own website and a new corporate ID. They wanted a fun, lively and colourful website incorporating plenty of animation.

The whole site has been built using Flash, enabling us to create a highly graphical interface incorporating sound and movement.

"We are really happy with the end result and found Studio 2 Online to be very willing to push the barriers on design and innovation."

Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce Golf Day

On 17th May Studio 2 Online took part in a corporate golf day hosted by Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce at Parkhill Golf and Leisure Club.

We were delighted to be joined by some of our clients and especially pleased when guests David Allcock from Rowleys Accountants won the longest drive, Andrew McKaig from Central Systems won the individual prize and our very own Giles Button and Andrew McKaig won the team prize (with little help from Giles, it has to be said!!).

We will be attending further similar events in the future. If you would be interested in joining us please contact Michelle McKee on 0116 242 5811.

  Case Study: Powerclene Franchising Ltd.

Powerclene Franchising Ltd logo

Powerclene Franchising is an innovative and successful business created to promote and sell window cleaning franchises, offering a comprehensive training programme and start-up package.

They wanted a website that was punchy, bright and presented all the essential information in a readable and engaging format.

We took our lead with the design from the comic-book superhero idea of their existing corporate ID, which immediately gives the site its distinctive and eye-catching style, using bright primary colours, bold graphics and chunky fonts.

Active Aims Ltd work with businesses and organisations to help increase corporate, team and individual productivity through their unique "Wellness for Wealth" programme which helps reduce stress and decrease absenteeism by maximising mental agility and physical wellbeing. Their list of clients ranges from large Plcís including Boots, to individual clients.

Their existing website was in need of updating, having been designed some years ago. They also wanted to create a new corporate ID to accompany a change of emphasis from a sports and fitness based approach to a more holistic approach to wellbeing, under the "Wellness for Wealth" strapline.

"It was fantastic working with Studio 2. Everyone is really helpful and the end product is awesome. I am so pleased with the site that Studio 2 produced and would recommend their services to anyone."

  Server Upgrade

Staying ahead of the game has always been important in the web industry, and perhaps nowhere more so in that unseen but vital area Ė the hardware that runs your site!

With our client base continuing to expand, we have recently completed a major upgrade of one of our servers, ensuring that we can continue to provide optimal speed and performance for our clients' sites.

  New Projects

We are delighted to announce that Studio 2 Online will be working with Grahame Gardner, an established Leicester based clothing retailer, to develop a new ecommerce system and online shops for their clothing ranges.

"We chose Studio 2 to help us get our product catalogue online, based on their strong design and ecommerce background. We have been impressed by the level of service so far and look forward to seeing the finished product."

Katy Brocklehurst, Marketing Manager

Also added to our client list this month is Bikram Yoga, a local 'hot' yoga studio. We are currently in the process of designing and developing the new site.

"From our first meeting I was guided through the possibilities and impact of a website which would work for me, enhancing sales and improving communication of my services to a wider audience. Everyone at Studio 2 Online has been enthusiastic, efficient and highly professional. The emphasis seems to be equally as strong in customer service as it is in technology."

Libby Nockles, Director

We are also currently creating a new, redesigned site for existing customers Comfort Solutions.

"Having had two sites built over the years with Studio 2 Online we felt confident that our third site would bring new and exciting changes in website design and much improved CMS functionality. We have opted for a monthly newsletter and competition to obtain a larger database and are sure that the new design will help in the growth of the business."

Sasha's Web Advice: Web Content & Women

The other day, when Giles was out of the office, I jumped up onto his chair to do a spot of web surfing. Unfortunately there arenít all that many websites written for dogs, so I got bored pretty quickly and went back to my bed (I liked the Tescoís website but it was too frustrating seeing all those pictures of food but not being able to eat any of it).

The other thing I noticed (being a girl dog) is that a lot of websites appear not to be designed and written with women in mind. Research shows that women are increasingly using the internet for shopping, and yet many women still feel that online retailers donít understand their needs.

In an attempt to find some answers, I came across an article on MultiChannel Marketing which provides some useful pointers for website owners.
